Hunter Trials
A Hunter Trial is a competition to test the ability of the horse and rider to negotiate a course of typical natural fences at a fair hunting pace. Riders compete in pairs or teams of three and there are various levels of competition to suit all ages and levels of ability.
The IPC National Hunter Trials will be in Hill crest EC Galbally Co. Limerick this year on Monday 15th April.

National Hunter Trials Crecora 17th Sept 2022
What a Fabulous day down in Limerick for the National Huntertrail Championship. Massive congratulations to Alanna Bailey and Lilly Redmond, great team work and fabulous riding won them pole position in the Junior pairs out of more tha 50 pairs and only 3 clear rounds.
Isobella Donohue and Poynstown Cubby took 3rd in the senior individual.
Miriam Burgess won the unofficial ”flying without wings” prize as path finder to the teams of three with Eabha McCabe and Isobella Donohue who came in a whooping around 2 minutes faster than any other team.
There were over 140 entries in the Junior individual where Alfie Donohue and Connor Buckley came 7th and 9th.
Eve King was our sole representative in the intermediate section with a mighty round.

IMPORTANT NOTICE for all those taking part in the Hunter-Trial Championships:You must bring your own number bib and don't forget your medical armband with membership card and PASSPORT. Please be sure to read the Current tack sheet which you will find in IPC website downloads.
Check that your Helmet and Back Protector comply with IPC standards.
