MINIMUS 2017
Minimus Championships - 2017
Well done to our Minimus competitors who scooped lots of prizes this weekend at the National Minimus Championships.
The team of Sarah Kehoe, Hugh Kavanagh, Áine Kavanagh and Cara Kelly were placed 3rd overall out of over 100 teams as well as beating the international visitors from Scotland. There were individual placings for Matthew Farrell -2nd, James Browne -5th and Hugh Kavanagh 9th and in the girls competition Sarah Kehoe finished 4th and Áine Kavanagh 10th.
Sarah, Matthew and Áine also made the podium for best swims and runs. So many of our 23 competitors achieved PB's out cross country, in the pool and thanks to Liz and John Mahon accomplished record running times.
Special Thanks to Jimmy Dermody who trained the kids and despite only 15% of competitors going clear, our branch had 8 clears over a very big and technical course.
It was a fantastic weekend and the kids got great support from inside and outside the club. There were lots of BBQ's thanks to Melanie Foot, Ice cream from the Schoen family and all under a wonderful marquee sponsored by the Donohue family.
Well done to all parents and children involved.
